THE BIRTH OF MY FIRST NEICE, ALEXA JAYDEN By: Julie Shakes 3-30-03 About ten months past my younger baby, Jamie, told me I was going to be an aunt. I was in truth surprised, but also very excited. A few months emerge the road, Jamie looking very pregnant, the discussion came up well-nigh who would be her Lamaze coach. Since Jamie was not with the father she asked if I would be her coach. Finally the day came, on February 23, when we could use all we learned. It was the most unforgettable moment, being with my child when my first niece was born. The night before Jamie started having capsules, I went out with some friends from my work. I came home very late and sle pt half of the day impudent on Saturday. When I finally woke up at about 1:00pm on Saturday, I called to see how Jamie was doing. She was actually due on February 20 and it was the 22. When I called my mom answered and told me Jamie had started having contractions at 4:00am this morning. My mom suggested I come over because there was no telling when we would leave to go to the hospital. I rushed to hold a bag of clothes and hurried to my parent’s house. When I got to their house Jamie was on the computer. Her contractions were about ten proceedings apart and she said they were not that painful yet. When a contraction would come she would tell me one was starting and I would crease the clock to see how long it lasted and how far apart they were. At about 6:00pm we sat down to eat dinner.
